Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments as part of a float pool, rotating between multiple units and metro campuses as needed
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent cardiac events
• Care for patients with conditions including sepsis, renal failure, stroke, AFIB, GIB, neuro stepdown, and COVID
• Perform pre/post cardiac cath care and wound care as assigned
• Fulfill charge RN assignments and holiday shift coverage as required by unit needs
• Utilize facility systems and equipment including Virtual Nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
• Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience in a PCU, stepdown, or telemetry setting
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience in Med/Surg Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown work settings
• Willingness to float between multiple units and campuses; refusal may result in contract cancellation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current ACLS certification
• Experience with sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, port access, blood product administration, and central line care/management
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
