Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
- Adapt to evolving departmental workflows, including participation in an upcoming electronic health record system transition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Maintain flexibility with scheduling, as block schedules are not guaranteed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Emergency Department RN
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (BLS – AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience navigating EHR system transitions or go-live implementations
- Familiarity with Meditech in addition to EPIC
