Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level cardiac and medical care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license valid in South Carolina — must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Stepdown, IMC, PCU, or similar intermediate care setting
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility — locals are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience charting in Epic electronic health records
