Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | Onsite | No On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Phase I PACU recovery care for a wide range of post-operative surgical patients including neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant cases
• Manage critically ill post-operative patients requiring artificial airways, invasive monitoring (including ICP monitoring), vasoactive drug administration, and blood product transfusions
• Perform dysrhythmia recognition and management, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and administration of IV vasopressors
• Care for a diverse patient population including adults, adolescents, and geriatric patients within a Level I Trauma Center environment
• Work up preoperative patients as needed during night shift hours
• Float within scope to PACU or PreOp units as needed to meet facility demands

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or compact license required; pending MO license submissions accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required by compliance deadline
• Critical care experience required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Experience in an inpatient, Level I Trauma Center, or Phase I PACU setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for ventilated patients and managing invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with a high-volume, 24/7 PACU environment with an average daily census of 70–90 patients across 38 patient bays
• Experience in a Magnet-designated or teaching hospital setting
