Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 8-Week Assignment | 36 Hours Guaranteed per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring patients and those in the delivery process within a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and respond to obstetric emergencies as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in the electronic medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; Tennessee licensure or compact eligibility required
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced inpatient environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems used in hospital environments
- AWHONN fetal monitoring certification or equivalent
