Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Elmhurst, IL
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III High Acuity NICU setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float to a secondary NICU campus as needed based on staffing and census levels
- Participate in required holiday coverage including Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, and the day after Thanksgiving
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Level III NICU
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Special Care Nursery environment
- Comfort and flexibility with floating between NICU units across multiple campuses
