Multimodality Technologist – IR / Special Procedures (Cross Training to Cath Lab and IR)

Schedule / Job Type

Full-Time, Direct Hire | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 4 x 10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | On-Call: 7–9 days every 4 weeks for emergent after-hours procedures; call response required within 30 minutes

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging across two or more modalities under the supervision of a Radiologist, with at least 25% of work focused on advanced areas such as CT, MR, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology
  • Cross-train into the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and/or Interventional Radiology as directed
  • Conduct imaging procedures for both ambulatory and inpatient populations as ordered by a physician or licensed provider for the purpose of diagnosing disease and injury
  • Follow established imaging protocols and safety standards for each applicable modality
  • Respond to on-call requests for emergent procedures after hours within the required response time

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Radiology or graduation from a related accredited program
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in a minimum of two approved imaging modalities
  • Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), where applicable
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility to meet on-call response requirements
  • Willingness to cross-train into Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Dual credentialing such as ARRT-R or RCIS combined with an additional certification (e.g., ARRT-CI, ARRT-VI, ARRT-CT, ARRT-MR, ARRT-M, RCES) or both RCIS and ARRT together
  • Prior experience working as an Interventional Radiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist (CVIS)
  • Familiarity with approved modalities including ARRT-CT, ARRT-CV, ARRT-MR, ARRT-N, ARRT-S, ARRT-VI, RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB, RVT, CNMT, or ARMRIT
