Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients (18+) in an inpatient substance abuse treatment setting
- Perform CIWA and COWS assessments to monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms
- Conduct urine drug screenings (UAs) as part of the treatment protocol
- Establish and maintain firm, empathic therapeutic boundaries with voluntary patients
- Collaborate with on-call administration and physicians to ensure continuity of patient care
- Document patient information and care using an electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or detox setting
- Demonstrated proficiency with CIWA and COWS assessments
- Detox experience is required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior psychiatric nursing experience
- Familiarity with HCS electronic medical records platform
