Registered Nurse – NICU / Pediatric Float Pool

Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to neonatal and pediatric patient populations
• Adapt clinical practice to meet the varying acuity levels and workflows of each assigned unit
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and maintain compliance with all unit-specific protocols
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a pediatric float pool or NICU/PICU float pool setting
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
