Contract | Days | 10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | 40 Hours per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate and/or scrub for a wide variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, spine, ENT (head and neck), GYN, urology, robotics, bariatric, major plastic reconstruction, and transplant surgeries (kidney and liver)
- Provide intraoperative nursing care in a high-volume Level I Trauma OR environment consisting of 10 operating roomsSupport organ procurement and trauma cases as assigned
- Participate in on-call rotations, including up to 2 weekends per month (call shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays); must maintain a 30-minute on-call response time
- Fulfill short call shifts once per week (3:00 AM–7:00 AM or 5:00 PM–9:00 PM)
- Float to additional OR locations within the facility system as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts
- Current BLS certification (facility-required compliance documentation must be completed prior to start)
- Demonstrated experience circulating in the OR across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedic, neurosurgery, ENT, and general surgery
- Ability to meet a 30-minute on-call response time requirement
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (local travelers will not be accepted)
- Must not have worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem within the last six months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Scrub experience across multiple surgical specialties including robotics, transplant, spine, and trauma
- Experience with kidney and/or liver transplant procedures
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical platforms
- Experience in organ procurement
