Key Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum care to patients following delivery, managing a standard caseload of 4 couplets
• Care for high-risk obstetric patients including those requiring Magnesium, Pitocin, and Foley catheter management
• Monitor and manage postpartum hemorrhage and substance withdrawal in a diverse patient population
• Float to postpartum units at sister campuses and assist with Labor and Delivery second-hour recovery as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience with high-acuity patient populations
• High-risk obstetric care experience required
• Experience with Magnesium, Pitocin, Foley, postpartum hemorrhage, and substance withdrawal management
• EPIC proficiency required (hard stop)
• Active BLS and NRP certifications required
• Valid RN license; compact license must be active and in hand at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with JADA system for postpartum hemorrhage management
• Ability to manage a surge census, including a 4th couplet when needed
