Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Evening Shift (Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols
- Specialize in processing Neuro, Spine, and Cardiac instrumentation for acute hospital operating room environments
- Ensure proper handling, tracking, and storage of sterile supplies and instrument sets
- Maintain compliance with infection control standards and sterile processing best practices
- Support surgical services by ensuring timely turnaround of instrumentation to meet OR scheduling demands
Required Qualifications
- Active CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of sterile processing experience in an acute hospital operating room setting
- Valid state license or active compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Must reside outside of the 50-mile local radius to be eligible for this travel contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience processing complex Neuro, Spine, or Cardiac surgical instrument sets
- Familiarity with high-volume acute care or Level I/II facility environments
- Demonstrated ability to float between sister facilities as needed
