Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Complete required facility orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start date
• Demonstrated Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience gained within a single facility or location for the required specialty period
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an acute care setting
• One verifiable professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months in the applicable specialty
