Social Worker – Licensed Clinical / Mental Health (Psychiatric Emergency)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (4x10-Hour Shifts, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis risk assessments for both adult and pediatric patients in an emergency department setting
• Provide clinical social work, mental health counseling, or therapy services within the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room
• Float between units within the contracted facility as needed based on staffing levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient mental health and disposition planning
• Document clinical interactions and assessments accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Full, unrestricted state licensure required — associate or provisional licensure will not be accepted
• Must hold one of the following licenses: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Valid Washington State license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior hospital or acute care setting experience, particularly in an emergency department
• Experience performing crisis risk assessments with both adult and pediatric populations
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
