Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to an adult and geriatric patient population in an acute care setting, including Adult Critical Care environments
• Perform airway management procedures including extubation, nasal and oral airway placement, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and pulmonary hygiene
• Administer inhaled medications via aerosol mask, trach setup, metered dose inhaler, medihaler, and handheld, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizers
• Manage and troubleshoot ventilatory support equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, trach collar oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation weaning
• Collect sputum specimens and perform pulmonary hygiene interventions as indicated
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR; minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Active RRT license in South Carolina — must be in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Must be at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be subject to a bill rate reduction — candidates 100+ miles away are fully eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with a broad range of inhaled medications including albuterol, racemic epinephrine, pulmicort, tobramycin, xopenex, and others
• Experience floating to multiple units or campuses within a large health system
• Strong troubleshooting skills for high-pressure ventilator alarms and complex respiratory equipment
