Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | Monday through Friday with occasional scheduled holidays | 5x8-hour shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all items including drills, robotic surgical instruments, and scopes
• Assemble instruments across all service lines including trauma, loaner sets, and peel packaging
• Execute sterilization processes including Sterrad and steam sterilization methods
• Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
• Maintain and manage sterile storage areas in accordance with department standards
• Serve as an OR liaison and utilize instrument tracking systems to ensure accurate documentation

Required Qualifications

• Active CRCST or CSPDT certification required
• Demonstrated experience in all areas of a sterile processing department
• Experience working in a high-volume or Level One trauma facility environment
• Proficiency with instrument tracking systems (Censitrac experience a plus)
• Ability to float between multiple locations within the same health system as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience as a core technician, OR liaison, or in a customer service-facing role within sterile processing
• Familiarity with robotic surgical instrument reprocessing and complex scope reprocessing workflows
• Prior travel or contract assignment experience in a comparable large academic or trauma facility
