Contract | Nights | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for documentation and patient management
• Float within the hospital as needed, within scope of practice and at unit leader's discretion
• Complete all required onboarding modules prior to orientation start date
• Complete and pass required EKG examination within 72 hours of signing, achieving a minimum score of 85% and identifying 100% of critical rhythms

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience in Medical Surgical
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required prior to start
• EPIC proficiency required
• Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemption documentation must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start date for approval
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates with a permanent address in the following counties are not accepted: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, or Ulster

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with EKG interpretation and rhythm identification
