Registered Nurse – ICU (Travel Contract)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed ICU with patient ratios of 1:4–5
• Perform and assist with procedures including STEMI protocol, Stroke protocol, Conscious Sedation, Chest Tubes, Codes, and Intubation
• Operate unit equipment including Philips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner
• Document and manage patient records using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team members across day shift (7a–7p)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to work in Texas
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a charge nurse role demonstrating ability to multi-task and think independently
• Friendly, compassionate, and flexible personality with strong critical thinking skills and a sense of urgency
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a small, close-knit unit team
