Contract | Days (6:30 AM Start) | Monday–Friday with Call Required | 8-Hour Shifts | On-Site
Key Responsibilities
- Cover cardiac cases of all complexity levels including CABG, valve procedures, adult congenital, dissections, complex aortic, and minimally invasive surgeries
- Provide ECMO coverage in-house 24/7, responding to cannulations, decannulations, circuit manipulations, CT transports, and physical therapy sessions
- Support thoracic and liver transplants, lung transplants on ECMO, TAVRs, LLE in CL/EP, mechanical thrombectomies, and HIPEC cases
- Operate point-of-care (POC) devices as required throughout case coverage
- Participate in a 6-tier call rotation covering nights and weekends
- Provide standby coverage for sporadic combination vascular cases and ECMO transports from outside facilities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cardiac Perfusionist
- At least 1 year of recent experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility
- ABCP – American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (CAPS) Certification required
- Tennessee Clinical Perfusionist License required
- High school diploma or college degree required (as mandated for CAPS certification)
- Ability to cover any case type regardless of complexity, day or night
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel assignment experience
- Experience with NRP (Normothermic Regional Perfusion)
- Familiarity with heart, lung, and liver transplant perfusion protocols
