Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | Monday through Friday with occasional scheduled holidays | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all items including drills, robotic surgical instruments, and scopes
• Assemble instruments across all service lines, including trauma sets, loaner trays, and peel packaging
• Execute sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam sterilization methods
• Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope processing
• Manage sterile storage and serve as an OR Liaison as needed
• Utilize the Censitrac instrument tracking system for documentation and traceability

Required Qualifications

• CRCST or CSPDT certification required
• Experience across all areas of a sterile processing department, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and sterile storage
• Prior experience in a high-volume, Level One trauma facility or comparable acute care environment strongly preferred
• Ability to float between multiple facility locations as needed
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience as a Core Tech or OR Liaison within sterile processing
• Strong customer service skills in a fast-paced surgical services environment
• Familiarity with Censitrac or similar instrument tracking systems
• Background working with loaner instrument sets and trauma service lines
