Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | Shift rotation (days/nights) based on unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult patients on a 32-bed medical-surgical unit, all single rooms
• Perform head-to-toe and focused assessments, administer medications, and document all cares
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team and update patients and families on the plan of care
• Advocate for patients as needed and maintain thorough attention to detail across a variety of disease processes
• Utilize unit equipment including EPIC, OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, and Zebra phones
• May be required to float to other med-surg units within the Fargo area as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota or a Compact state
• Active BLS certification – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent bedside nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Experience in a busy Level 1 trauma center
• EPIC experience required – please note on resume where utilized
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must be willing to float to all units and locations within the Fargo area as needed
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be subject to a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively within a team environment
• Familiarity with a variety of disease processes common to a busy medical-surgical setting
• Experience with self-scheduling in a high-volume inpatient unit
