Registered Nurse – Renal Medical-Surgical (Night Shift)

Contract | Night Shift | 36 hours/week | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs on a busy Renal Medical-Surgical unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry continuously, performing frequent patient assessments in a high-acuity environment
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
• Manage complex medical-surgical conditions requiring multidisciplinary coordination and critical thinking
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory and must be clearly documented in submission — no training will be provided
• Competency test required on Day 1; all requirements must be met at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Renal nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing high patient turnover in a fast-paced, high-acuity Med-Surg setting
• Demonstrated adaptability and efficiency across multiple Med-Surg specialty areas
