Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 8-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor critically ill patients using bedside and remote monitoring devices to track heart rate, breathing rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels
• Administer medications and continuous infusions including non-titrated vasoactive agents, anti-arrhythmic agents, platelet inhibitors, and insulin; monitor patients for medication effects
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring including equipment setup, troubleshooting, and recognition of signs and symptoms of patient instability
• Assess and manage ventilated patients, including long-term mechanical ventilation and weaning, as well as non-invasive oxygen delivery systems such as BiPAP and nasal CPAP
• Monitor and manage patients requiring renal therapeutic interventions such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous bladder irrigation, stents, and urostomies
• Educate patients and families to support transition from hospital to home, including recognizing family needs for greater care involvement

Required Qualifications

• Active Missouri LPN license or multi-state compact license — must be included with submission
• IV Certification — must be included with submission
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association — must be included with submission
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
• Demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia monitoring, interpretation, and treatment
• Ability to interpret ABGs and communicate findings appropriately

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an LTAC or critical care setting
• Experience with patient monitoring during procedures such as cardiac catheterization, bronchoscopy, cardioversion, or TEE
• Familiarity with enteral and parenteral nutrition indications and complications
• Strong clinical judgment, advocacy, and collaborative practice skills
