Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient adult acute care hematology/oncology unit (28 beds) and a 15-bed intermediate care Stem Cell Transplant Unit (SCTU)
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments in accordance with ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification standards
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility float policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification required — must be obtained prior to start date (candidates may submit with cert pending depending on experience)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• BSN preferred
• Experience in hematology/oncology or stem cell transplant nursing
• Completion of ONS Fundamentals (may be required at manager's discretion based on experience)
