Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend and holidays in rotation | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed mixed ICU setting with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3, including holding inpatient PCU and med-surg admissions
• Manage ICU patients including those on ventilators, and perform or assist with procedures such as post-op day 0 CABG, Impella, balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz catheterization, and advanced hemodynamics monitoring
• Care for neuro patients including those with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage; experience with EVDs, bolts (Codman), and Arctic Sun induced hypothermia protocols
• Conduct bedside shift report for every patient at each transfer of care
• Float as needed to the Emergency Department or PCU to care for PCU or ICU holds, per facility floating policy
• Administer respiratory treatments (inhalers and nebulizers) outside of the ICU as required; proficiently read and interpret telemetry strips

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible to work in South Carolina
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting
• At least one previous successful travel nursing assignment
• Demonstrated ability to manage up to 1–3 ICU patients, including those on mechanical ventilation
• Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and comfort with advanced hemodynamics

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience with CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, and phlebotomy
• Previous experience with Meditech documentation system
• BSN, TNCC certification, and/or additional advanced certifications preferred
