Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity progressive care unit (PCU) nursing care to a Medical Oncology patient population, including solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry/dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips including titration
• Perform and manage central line care, PICC line management, port access, peripheral IV insertion, and blood product administration
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Manage respiratory support modalities including external CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and interpretation of ABGs
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU-level experience
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) required at time of submission; must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Active certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency with required clinical skills: dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response utilization, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, PCA management, chest tube management, and tracheostomy management
• Ability to operate unit equipment including GE telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, bladder scanner, PCA pumps, and continuous bladder irrigation systems
• Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology experience, including chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Experience with arterial line management, wound care/wound vac, surgical drains, IV insulin protocols, and phlebotomy
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with non-invasive airway management and management of dysrhythmias
