Key Responsibilities

• Float across units to meet staffing needs, supporting a diverse patient population that may include telemetry, med-surg, and ER-boarded patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–6 depending on unit acuity
• Provide direct patient care in a 325-bed short-term acute care facility utilizing EPIC for charting
• Perform charge nurse duties on designated smaller units, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit coordination when assigned as the sole RN
• May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Charge nurse experience is required
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All time-off requests and scheduling preferences must be submitted upfront at the time of submittal
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals considered at a different rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Background in telemetry, PCU, or stepdown nursing
• Experience floating across multiple unit types within an acute care setting
