Key Responsibilities

• Float across units to fill staffing needs, supporting a diverse patient population including telemetry, medical-surgical, and ER-boarded patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity
• Perform core charge nurse duties on designated smaller units, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit coordination
• Document and chart accurately using EPIC
• Collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care
• May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Charge nurse experience is required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in cardiac step-down or telemetry settings
• Background in float pool or multi-unit nursing environments
• Familiarity with managing varied patient acuity levels across different unit types
