Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Palliative Care)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a palliative care unit focused on symptom management for patients with serious illness, including uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue
• Support patients and families in achieving improved quality of life through evidence-based palliative care practices
• Float to other high-acuity medical surgical units as needed, within equivalent or lower acuity settings
• Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and interventions using the facility's electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Willingness and ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Background or interest in palliative care or high-acuity medical surgical nursing
