Respiratory Therapist – Pediatrics (RRT)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services in a pediatric setting, with primary focus on NICU Level IV patients
• Perform assessments, treatments, and monitoring in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Participate in holiday rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling as required
• May float within scope of practice to meet facility needs depending on experience level
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using the facility's electronic health record system
• Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• RRT certification (NBRC) required
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license must be active and in hand at time of start
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• NICU Level IV experience required; Pediatric ICU experience may be considered
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Background in both NICU and Pediatric ICU environments
• Familiarity with Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital environments
