Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step-Down/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, and insulin drips
• Manage patients requiring trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes
• Float to lower-acuity floors within scope of practice to meet facility needs as needed
• Complete required weekend shifts (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation for nights)
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or compact license required; IL license must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Minimum 2 years of Step-Down/PCU/IMC experience
• Must have been actively practicing at the bedside within the last 6 months
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• No first-time travelers accepted for this position
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with vasopressor titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Experience managing tracheostomy, ventilator, and chest tube patients in a step-down environment
