Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Days | 3×12-hour shifts | 7:00 AM–7:00 PM | Every other weekend required | No on-call requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an Intermediate Care / Cardiac / Telemetry / Stroke unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to cardiac and stroke patients in an intermediate care setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Connecticut or compact eligibility
- ACLS certification required
- Stroke experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior experience in a telemetry, cardiac, or intermediate care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a dedicated stroke unit or with stroke protocol management
- Familiarity with intermediate care or step-down unit workflows
- Strong cardiac assessment and rhythm interpretation skills
