Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evenings (5x8 Hours) | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all items including drills, robotic surgical instruments, and scopes
• Assemble instruments across all service lines including trauma, loaners, and peel packaging
• Execute sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam sterilization methods
• Perform High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
• Manage sterile storage and serve as OR Liaison as needed
• Utilize instrument tracking and reprocessing systems including Censitrac and Medivator

Required Qualifications

• Active CBSPD or CRCST certification (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) required
• Experience in all areas of a sterile processing department in a high-volume, acute care or Level I Trauma environment
• Proficiency with Medivator reprocessing equipment required
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel assignment experience in a comparable high-acuity facility
• Familiarity with Censitrac instrument tracking system
• Experience with robotic surgical instrument reprocessing (e.g., Da Vinci)
