Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Projected Start: 09/28/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned telemetry patients including those with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and med-surg overflow
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness, including management of cardiac drips
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and available resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation; float to other units when needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in telemetry or a related nursing specialty
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5:1 (occasionally 6:1)
• Expected weekly hours of 36 or 48; overtime applicable after 48 hours

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience with cardiac drip management in a telemetry or step-down setting
• Familiarity with med-surg overflow patient populations
