Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit including triage, active labor monitoring, and delivery support
- Interpret and respond to fetal monitoring strips using equipment such as fetal monitors, IUPC, and FSE
- Perform vaginal examinations and assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Function as OB circulator in the operating room during surgical deliveries
- Assist with procedures including amniocentesis, amnioinfusions, and IUPC/FSE placement
- Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Proficiency in starting IVs and drawing labs
- Ability to interpret fetal monitoring strips
- Proficiency in vaginal examinations and OB circulator duties
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Ability to scrub for cesarean section procedures
- Experience with CPN and/or Meditech EMR platforms
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
