Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 4x10 Hours (7:00–17:30) | On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with a broad range of interventional radiology procedures including cerebral angiography, stroke intervention, angiography of all body parts (excluding the heart), Y90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, and venography with intervention
• Support venous access procedures including port placement, dialysis access, and central line insertion, as well as gastrostomy and various drain placements (biliary, nephrostomy, abscess)
• Conduct biopsies utilizing fluoroscopy, CT, or ultrasound guidance
• Operate within a multi-room IR suite including three single-plane IR rooms, one biplane room, and one hybrid room, as well as a radiology room and CT
• Collaborate daily with a team of Interventional Radiologists, a Neuro Interventionalist, Vascular Surgeons, and PA/NP providers
• Participate in on-call rotation, expected approximately 5–7 days per month; must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of IR/Special Procedures experience required
• Active ARRT (R) certification required
• Active Washington State license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with contrast administration required
• Experience with angiograms, nephrograms, and venous access required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• C-arm operation experience
• Experience with biopsies
• Experience with ablations and/or kyphoplasty
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
