Travel Rapid Response RN – Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 6-Week Assignment | Expected 48 hours/week | Overtime may be available after 48 hours
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system
- Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Float within all sections of the ED as needed; no floating outside of the ED
- Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards updated throughout each visit
- Work every other weekend; scheduling must meet departmental needs — no block scheduling or special scheduling accommodations
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- ACLS required prior to start date
- BLS required prior to start date
- PALS required prior to start date
- TNCC required prior to start date
- CPI required prior to start date
- NIHSS required prior to start date
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work in all areas of the ED with a teamwork mentality and capacity to coach and provide real-time feedback
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
- Background in a high-volume Emergency Department with more than 100,000 annual visits
- Previous experience with HCA facilities
- Familiarity with Kronos timekeeping systems
