Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: October 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients on a basic Medical/Surgical unit
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment plans
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations; willingness to float is required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact RN license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Willingness and ability to float as needed
• Every other weekend availability required
• No on-call requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Familiarity with nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 or 6:1 in a Med/Surg setting
