Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float between Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units as part of a float pool assignment
• Provide direct patient care with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit assignment
• Care for patients presenting with conditions including acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR (recent experience required)
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends in accordance with facility scheduling requirements
• Float to other units in rotation with staff, in compliance with Joint Commission standards and facility floating policies

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Recent Epic EMR experience required — must be documented at time of submission
• Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2+ years of IMC unit experience in a hospital setting — must be documented at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Flu shot and 2-step PPD required — no exceptions
• Must not be a first-time traveler
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Comfort managing a diverse, high-acuity patient population across Tele and IMC settings
• Familiarity with Relias or Net Learning online module platforms
