Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Neurology Focus)

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a heavy neurology patient population
• Monitor and assess post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurological diagnoses
• Utilize the NIH Stroke Scale and other neurology-specific assessment tools as part of routine care
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5
• Float between units within the facility as needed
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• Willingness to work on a heavy neurology unit and learn neurology-specific care practices
• Commitment to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior neurology nursing experience, including familiarity with the NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience caring for post-surgical neurology patients
• Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center or teaching hospital environment
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
