Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a float nurse, with unit assignments determined by the nursing supervisor based on staffing needs
• Rotate across a variety of specialty units including Medical, Oncology, Trauma, Neurology, Cardiac, Cardiac Surgery, Pulmonary, Vascular, Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Nephrology, Surgery/GI, Observation, and Medical Comfort Care
• Maintain safe and effective patient care within unit-specific nurse-to-patient ratios, typically 1:6
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Tennessee RN license or a compact multi-state RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is required
• Must be available to work every other weekend
• 2 professional references required (may be pending at time of submittal)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a float pool or across multiple specialty units
• Familiarity with high-acuity environments such as Trauma, Cardiac Surgery, or Neurology
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
