Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a locked incarcerated/forensic unit; candidates must be comfortable working with an incarcerated population.
• Float as needed to other Medical Surgical/Telemetry units, forensic inpatient units, and potentially the ICU.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Participate in the facility's holiday rotation, with an expectation to work 3 of 6 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
• Complete required HealthStream compliance exams within designated deadlines following contract signing.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee state license or compact multi-state RN license required at time of submission; must be active with no pending status.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI).
• Current Nursys report required at time of submission.
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working with forensic, incarcerated, or behavioral health patient populations.
• Experience floating across multiple inpatient units, including ICU-level care.
• Strong telemetry interpretation and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
