Contract | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Weekend commitment required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU float pool setting, with expected floating to MS/Tele/PCU, Stepdown, Overflow PACU, and other units as needed
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including those requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Perform and interpret EKG readings — an EKG exam will be administered on the first day of orientation and must be passed to continue the assignment
• Operate and manage PA Line / Swan-Ganz catheter — this experience is required and will be assessed during the interview process
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling; no scheduling requests can be accommodated, and no time off is permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent California RN license — must be in hand at time of submission; temporary or pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• PA Line / Swan-Ganz experience is required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Flu vaccination required
• Experience in a facility of 400 beds or larger is required (first-time travelers accepted with this experience)
• 2 professional references from within the past year of employment required at time of submission — must be from a supervisor or higher (Charge RN references not accepted)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate; no radius rule applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience floating across multiple unit types including Tele, PCU, Stepdown, and PACU
• Strong adaptability and comfort working in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Experience in large, high-volume acute care hospital settings
