Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III or Level IV NICU, caring for neonates as early as 23–24 weeks gestation
• Operate and manage advanced respiratory support equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, High Frequency Ventilators, Oscillators, and conventional Vents
• Administer blood and blood products; manage PICC/Central Lines and syringe pumps
• Attend high-risk deliveries and support neonatal surgical cases
• Perform procedures including Cardioversion/Defibrillation, Cooling/Warming Blanket therapy, and Feeding Tube placement
• May be expected to float to sister campuses or adjacent units (e.g., Special Care Nursery, Pediatrics/Newborn Nursery); float assignments to Pediatrics are limited to infant care only

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be active and in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience required
• Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting
• Ability to commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals may be considered under alternate terms)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Comfort with micro-preemie and extremely premature neonatal populations (23–24 weeks gestation)
• Experience attending high-risk deliveries and supporting neonatal surgical cases
• Flexibility to float between multiple campuses within the same health system
• Block scheduling preferred candidates welcome; willingness to work 3 or more consecutive shifts is a plus
