Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care to high-acuity ICU patients, including those who are intubated, sedated, and requiring chest tube management and continuous critical care monitoring
• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and available resources

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License in the state of Texas or a compact state license
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a critical care or ICU nursing specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience managing intubated and sedated patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Familiarity with chest tube management and continuous critical care monitoring
