Travel RN – Emergency Room | Holiday Coverage (16 Weeks)

Contract | 16-Week Assignment | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 101-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of approximately 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
• Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation throughout each shift
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and interdisciplinary team members across all sections of the ED, including the cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and keeping patient boards and patients updated throughout each visit
• Float to all sections within the ED as needed; no floating outside of the ED

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• ACLS required prior to submission
• BLS required prior to submission
• PALS required prior to submission
• TNCC required prior to submission
• NIHSS required prior to submission
• ENPC required prior to submission
• CPI required prior to date of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED; RTO and special scheduling requests will not be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 years of experience in a Level II Trauma Center or Comprehensive Stroke Center setting
• Experience in a high-volume ED with greater than 100,000 annual visits
• Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
