Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekend rotation required; holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac medical progressive care patients in a 30-bed private-room unit operating 24/7, with rooms remotely monitored by a centralized cardiac monitoring department
• Manage a primary cardiac patient population including congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization (with and without intervention), rule-out myocardial infarction, syncope, and pacemaker placement
• Support a secondary respiratory patient population including COPD, pneumonia, and BiPAP-dependent patients
• Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, peripheral and PICC line care, procedural sedation administration, and tracheostomy management
• Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips; manage chest tubes (Emerson, Pleur-evac) and external CPAP/BiPAP
• Maintain patient assignments at expected ratios of 1:4 for patients on drips/BiPAP, otherwise expected 1:5; scheduling is conducted over a 6-week self-assisted schedule through Optilink based on departmental need, patient work intensity, skill mix, and previous assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; Cardiac PCU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated comfort with 1:5 patient ratios
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Travelers may be floated to other system campuses as needed
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• NIH stroke scale certification preferred
• Experience with Rapid Response Teams preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
