Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a float nurse, receiving unit assignments from the nursing supervisor based on staffing needs
• Deliver nursing care across a broad range of units including medical, surgical, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, cardiac, pulmonary, vascular, trauma, and observation
• Maintain patient ratios that typically run 1:6, adjusting as needed based on unit acuity
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
• Fulfill every-other-weekend shift requirements as part of the standard schedule
• Participate in onsite orientation and complete required compliance modules as directed by the Nurse Educator

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a valid compact/multi-state RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is required
• Ability to float across multiple units as assigned by nursing leadership

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity float pool or multi-specialty nursing environment
• Background in one or more specialty areas such as trauma, cardiac, neurology, oncology, or orthopedics
• First-time travelers will be considered for this opportunity
