Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Expected hours: 3:00 AM – 3:30 PM (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM shift coverage occasionally as needed) | Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care across all age groups, including patients presenting with cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health conditions
• Support a STEMI and Stroke-designated facility, contributing to time-sensitive cardiac and neurological emergency protocols
• Collaborate within a department that interfaces with specialty services including a cath lab, women's health, and stroke care
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
• Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
• Complete unit-based orientation modules (non-billable, averaging 2–4 hours, completed during orientation)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• No open background cases permitted; third-party education verification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application — no post-submission RTO accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for complex or high-acuity patient populations including sepsis and oncology
• Familiarity with cath lab, women's health, or stroke care workflows
• Comfort with floating across multiple campus locations within a health system
