Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed-acuity unit serving PCU and Med-Surg/Telemetry patients with a target ratio of 1:4–5
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, acute respiratory failure, PE, COVID-19, influenza, and related comorbidities
• Manage telemetry monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Operate and manage specialized equipment including chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, chronic trach/vent patients, and IV drips (Dopamine, Cardizem, Heparin)
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including a team lead, respiratory therapists, admission/discharge nurse, vascular access team, RRT, code team, and behavioral health team
• Float to like units within or near the facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency in IV starts, ventilator management, telemetry, and CPAP/BiPAP
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Local candidates are welcome; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR documentation systems
• Prior experience with chest tube management and vasoactive/cardiac drip administration
